The old adage is very true – “if you don’t know where you’re going, you’ll never get there!” Teachers need a broad range of skills in the use of technology in education in the 21st century. Schools are implementing technology infrastructures and acquiring hardware that is to be used in their teaching and learning programs. More and more schools, systems and parents are expecting that the students will be skilled in information and communication technologies. Each state has included mandatory technology skills within each curriculum.

To effectively ensure that all teachers are working towards integration of technology in the curriculum and achieving student learning outcomes, planning is crucial. Our ICT plan which is mapped to national standards, will give you a clear learning pathway highlighting where your teachers’ skills currently lie and what professional development is required to bring them up to a level that will give them the confidence and competence to integrated technology within the curriculum.

We start with an individual technology skills checklist/survey for all teachers and include the whole school vision and goals. Our comprehensive report includes the school plan and an individual learning path for every teacher with recommended training requirements utilising school resources and/or Intouch’s face to face or online professional development.

This plan can be done annually to showcase the learning and development that has occurred and give clear and precise reports as deemed necessary.

We will provide you with a presentation for the staff and surveys for each teacher and the school board. Completed surveys are returned to Intouch for analysis and reports and outcomes returned to the school within three (3) weeks. The cost for this comprehensive ICT plan is $1,600 per school, plus GST.
